The TS Mundoo is a ship of dual character. On one hand, she is a premier venue, capable of hosting functions and dining for up to 150 guests. On the other hand, she is a sophisticated floating campus. Managed by a professional crew of three and supported by a resident student team of 16, the Mundoo provides the perfect infrastructure for an immersive, residential learning experience.

This isn’t just about sitting in a classroom with a view of the water. This is about living the curriculum. The Avoca Trust, a registered charity with DGR status, has designed the school ship project to serve students who thrive in practical environments—those who see their future in the Port Adelaide Shipyards, in the growing Murray River tourism sector, or in the essential fields of hospitality and care services.

The school ship project undertakes to keep close watch on the family boat and the teens on board. The boat must always remain in close flotilla with the School ship teachers for supervision.
